Long time no talk!! These past few weeks have been absolutely crazy. I traveled to Dallas to visit my boyfriend for a week, got home, and immediately moved back to school for two long weeks of recruitment. Then, as soon as I thought I’d be able to catch my breath and blog again, I realized that school started and I had to get my life organized. I’m over the excuses- the blogs are BACK!
I’ve been contemplating what to post now that my “Back To School” series is over, but I think I came up with a good one for you guys. I have been binging tons of Look Book Youtube videos and have been feeling inspired to make my own. I found some of my favorite Pinterest styles and recreated them with pieces I already owned. I had fun making this post, because styling is something I’m passionate about- and getting to make my own look off of someone elses was a really creative experience. One of the perks of living in a sorority house with 80 other girls is that there are 80 other closets to dig through when you can’t find the perfect look in your own. With that being said, shoutout to two of my sistas for their pretty pieces that helped complete this post!
If you’re ever struggling with what to wear and feel like you have nothing in your closet, try recreating someone else’s look. It will give you a whole new perspective on the pieces that you own.
Look 1

This was by far my favorite look to recreate. I paired the Polly Tee White with my Snakeskin Midi Skirt (not sold anymore) to recreate the effortless chic, street-style look. I completed the fit with a thick, gold Chain Link Necklace to add to the statement effect that the outfit creates. If I were to pair this with shoes, I would pick white platform sneakers.
Look 2

I loved the mix of comfort and style in this look, but wanted to make it my own with a dainty twist. I paired this Shein Puff Sleeve Crop Top with Ultra Highrise Straight Jeans. Pairing straight jeans with a flirty top gives your outfit a sense of contrast and really changes up your look. There are tons of ways to spice up this fit, including belts, chunky necklaces or even square-toed heals, but by keeping it simple, it remains casual for all events.
Look 3

This is a look that I will 100% be wearing out this semester. So comfy but flirty and really shows off your confidence in your style. Denim on denim has been contemplated for years, but I am here to tell you that it’s a movement and you should definitely join in! I paired these Frayed Mid-Rise shorts with a black off-the-shoulder tank and over-sized denim jacket (top and jacket are no longer sold).
Look 4

Finishing the Look Book off strong with this style. This look was so edgy and fun to create… I paired this Satin Midaxi Skirt with a distressed graphic tee and leather jacket (top and jacket are no longer sold). This is not something I would normally wear, but I am glad that I recreated this look because I LOVED it.

I hope you guys enjoyed my first post back, because I had a lot of fun making it! See you soon XOXO
